Set in the 18th century Caribbean during the Golden Age of Piracy, the main story follows famous Welsh pirate Edward Kenway, grandfather and father of the protagonist in Assassin’s Creed III Ratonhnhaké: ton and opponent Haitham Kenway, respectively, who work for Assassin / Templar. The frame story takes place in the 21st century and portrays the player as Abstergo’s agent.
